This Central London project was divided into 2 phases consisting of the enabling works and the main project. The final location for the Reception area was originally occupied by the building Printing Department, therefore Phase 1 was forming the new Printing area within the basement including new 3 phase electrical supplies and mechanical extract to ensure existing personnel were moved prior to the follow on Phase 2 works.

Phase 2 of the project consisted of both structural and refurbishment works commencing with the removal of an existing escape staircase and existing stage area, at the end of the assembly hall, this was followed closely with the forming of a new steel framed Mezzanine area allowing for the new reception area to be formed at the front of the building and new Office/admin area immediately above. The project also involved extensive mechanical and electrical new installation and upgrades, again being aware that adjacent areas were potentially sharing the same live services.

The client remained in occupation whilst all the works were undertaken, therefore liaising with the client and building management team, working to agreed noisy times, was a real key to the success of this project.
