The project comprised of substantially modifying and extending an existing 36,000 sq ft commercial office building to provide institutional CAT A office space over four floors. The projects’ west London location provided its own obstacles with keeping noise to a minimum as to not disrupt neighbours and working around traffic, parking restrictions and planning constraints. In addition, the works include the fitting out of two other floors to a CAT B standard to suit client requirements.

The scheme includes demolishing the existing 5th floor construction and replacing with a larger footprint upward extension, removing the existing façade spandrel panels and windows over six floors and replacing with a new Schueco curtain walling/ window system. The existing single lift shaft was demolished and recast from the ground up to accommodate a new 2 car lift installation with substantial carbon fibre strengthening to the existing slab. Internally we installed new base build plant and building services throughout with raised floors and light airy office space to the CAT A areas.

The CAT B works where designed and installed to suit a high specification consisting of many bespoke joinery elements, a new architectural metalwork communication single flight staircase and forming a new external courtyard and first floor decked terrace with greenwall.
