Virtus were employed by Lothbury Investment management Ltd to undertake the complete strip out and refurbishment of the main reception, Basement toilets/shower area, ground floor toilets and common areas including main lift cars.

Due to the building’s existing tenants the works were undertaken over 4 phases. This meant that the reception was undertaken in two halves and toilets were available on either floor for the duration of the project to reduce and minimise disruption.

Primary difficulties during the project were limited space for storage and site welfare. To overcome this issue and with the clients agreement we were granted part use of the building’s limited garage facility. This resulted in ensuring that deliveries were only received on site in a very limited period pre final installation to ensure there was no material back up.

Another problem encountered was the severe delay, from Italy, with the specified floor tile nosings in reception. To ensure we opened each face according to programme we had to carefully retain the existing nosing to each phase and install the final product just in time for the final completion date.

Following the completion of this project we have been requested by the client and professional team to carry out further Reception and common part works using the same site team.
